Max Pezzali conquers the circuit, with 85,000 fans attending the 'Grand Prix' concert: "The racetrack is an epic place. A dream come true."

Imola, July 12, 2025 – Verstappen is no longer the only Max of the Autodromo . From this night, Pezzali has linked his name to that of the circuit like the multiple Red Bull world champion, who won four of the five races that marked the return of Formula 1 here. The former 883 attracted 85,000 spectators to the banks of the Santerno , as AC/DC , Guns N' Roses, and Vasco da Gama had done in the last two decades.

The 'Max Forever – Grand Prix' is a tribute to the 1990s and the world of motorsports. And also to the Circus that Imola hopes to welcome back soon after the 2026 hiatus. "Being here is a dream come true for me, like so many dreams have come true in recent years," Max says backstage before the show begins. "This is a place that has become legendary for music and motorsports, one of the places where extraordinary concerts have been held. And for me, it's a point of arrival." The concert showcases all the successes of a career spanning over thirty years , spanning at least two generations. A show lasting over two hours, with around thirty songs on the setlist, experienced just like a race on the track, narrated on the big screen by the voice of motorcycling in Italy, Guido Meda .

"We've managed to create something extraordinary," adds Pezzali. " A new and unprecedented event compared to the concerts we've had so far , which is based on the fact that we're here. Something built this way makes sense because we're here. When you come in here for a ride on a motorbike, you breathe in the air of an epic place. There have been incredible battles and, unfortunately, tragedies that those of my generation remember very well." The stage brings back the 1990s with the historic songs 'Con un deca', 'Rotta per casa di Dio', 'Non me la menare', 'Hanno ucciso l'uomo ragno' and 'Una canzone d'amore'. The paddock dances to the tunes of 'Sei un mito', 'Nella notte', 'Bella vera', 'La regina del Celebrità' and 'La regola dell'amico'.

The acoustic medley is evocative , featuring 'Senza averti qui', 'Ti sento vivere', 'Come deve andare', 'Aeroplano', 'Finalmente tu', and 'Nient'altro che noi'. There's also 'Bottiglie vuoti', which Max sings alongside Riccardo Zanotti, frontman of Pinguini Tattici Nucleari , the band featured in this new hit along with the former 883 member. "It's a song I had a lot of fun making," explains Pezzali. "Having Riccardo here is another way to seal an artistic closeness that has also brought luck because the song is having incredible success."

Mauro Repetto , a former 883 member who recently appeared on stage, is absent ("It was nice to do it as a one-off, but if it becomes a massive celebration, it's no longer a celebration"). The finale also features plenty of classics, including generational songs, a tribute to Senna on the notes of "Ayrton" (a song written by Paolo Montevecchi and immortalized by Lucio Dalla), a romantic twist with "Come mai" (even featuring the Kiss cam), and a lighthearted finale. A colorful show , much appreciated by the audience. And it launches a week of great music at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari, where AC/DC will return in a week to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their 2015 show-event with 70,000 fans. A circle that began fifteen years ago and which the Australian band will ideally close on Sunday. From 2026, the concerts will move to the new Music Park Arena on Via Malsicura: their baptism of fire will be on June 13th with Cesare Cremonini .
